"Fitness" is a broad term that means something different to each person, but it refers to your own optimal health and overall well-being. Being fit not only means physical health, but emotional and mental health, too. It defines every aspect of your health. Smart eating and active living are fundamental to fitness.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely absence of disease [1]. Fitness is an ability to execute daily functional activities with optimal performance, endurance, and strength to manage minimalist of disease, fatigue, stress and reduced sedentary behavior .




Why is fitness important for a healthy life?

Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity gain some health benefits.
How can I get a fit body?
Get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week. Or get at least 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week. You also can get an equal combination of moderate and vigorous activity. Aim to exercise most days of the week.

How to start exercising?
Start with exercises that use your bodyweight as resistance, such as pull-ups, squats and lunges. Make sure you progress slowly, noticing how your body does after the requisite rest days. Once you are able to comfortably do so, you can try exercises that use light weights and fewer reps.
